Board of Directors Biographies

President: Kiya Morphy

Kiya Morphy joined the Board as Director in November 2020 and took on the resident role in December 2022. Kiya is an Accredited Property Manager with extensive experience managing residential and commercial facilities. Kiya has her Property Management designation from the Institute of Housing Management (IHM). Kiya has worked in a senior capacity at Housing Cambridge managing 8 different properties for 5 years until she ventured out on her own in 2019 starting her own business KIGRATIONS. KIGRATIONS provides property management services and does consulting work for local non-profit organizations specializing in preventative maintenance planning, rent-geared-to-income calculations and the utilization of property management software. She has worked with management groups and maintenance teams to create, to implement and to maintain preventative maintenance plans for a variety of building systems. Kiya has managed medium to large capital and energy retrofit projects with extensive knowledge of local industry standards, by-laws, and provincial legislative requirements. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to a high standard of property management.

Treasurer: Andy

Andy, our longest serving Director has been our Treasurer since October 2017 and has extensive experience in financial management, legal matters and strategic management.

Secretary: Joshua Green

Joshua Green has been a Board Director at Victor Davis Non-Profit Homes since 2018.

In his professional career, Joshua serves as an Associate at Skyline Apartment Asset Management Inc. In this role, he is responsible for acquisition of multi-family properties across Canada, along with asset management of Skyline’s existing portfolio.

Joshua holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph with a specialization in Real Estate and Housing.

Director: Rachel

Rachel joined the Board in February 2022. She has experience in the non-profit housing sector in RGI administration and shares her expertise on housing policy and managing tenancies.

Director: Kathy

Kathy started with the board in June 2022. She has a background in research management, and animal health and welfare but wanted to learn more about and actively participate in Non-profit housing in Guelph.

Director: Terri

Terri joined the board as of February 2023 and is sharing her experience in co-op housing management and hopes to learn more about the non-profit housing sector
